The CENAVA W14US is a 14-inch rugged laptop developed for field engineering, communications support, equipment maintenance, surveying and mobile command applications. Unlike a conventional business notebook, it combines a protected enclosure, backlit keyboard and industrial interfaces in a portable Windows platform.

1.What's the difference between the Core 3-304 and Core 5-320 versions?
The Core 3-304 has five cores and suits routine field reporting, equipment diagnostics and communications work. The Core 5-320 has six cores, including two performance cores, and is the better choice for heavier multitasking, larger mapping files and more demanding Windows software.
2. Does the W14US come with a touchscreen?
Not as standard — the base configuration has a non-touch 14-inch Full HD display. A USB-connected touchscreen is available as a project option; please confirm touchscreen and stylus compatibility at the time of order.
3. Is the 1,000-nit sunlight-readable display standard?
No, the standard panel is 550 nits. The 1,000-nit option is available for projects with frequent outdoor use and can be configured on request.
4. Can the battery be swapped without shutting the laptop down?
Yes — the dual smart-battery design allows one battery to keep the system running while the other is swapped. Please follow the swap procedure in the user manual to ensure the active battery is not removed first.
5. Can I use the secondary battery slot for a SATA drive instead?
No — the internal expansion bay holds either the secondary battery or a SATA drive, not both at the same time. Choose one at the time of order based on whether extended runtime or extra storage matters more for your use case.
6. What ports does the W14US have?
Four USB-A 3.0 ports, one USB-C 3.0 port, one Thunderbolt port (10Gbps, DisplayPort output, 100W PD input), two 2.5GbE RJ45 ports, one DB9 RS232 serial port (RS422/485 optional), a 3.5mm audio jack, a TF card slot (up to 1TB) and a Micro-SIM slot.
7. Does the W14US support 5G?
Cellular connectivity is optional. Available 4G/5G bands depend on the modem module selected, destination country, carrier requirements and regional certification — contact our sales team to confirm coverage for your region.
8. Is GNSS positioning built in?
Not on the standard model. GPS, Galileo and GLONASS positioning (via a U-blox NEO-M8N module) are available as bulk-order customization options.Q9. What's the maximum storage capacity?
The main M.2 PCIe Gen4 SSD supports up to 2TB. Separately, the TF card slot supports up to 1TB of additional removable storage — these are two independent storage paths, not combined capacity.
9. Is the W14US waterproof and dustproof?
It's rated IP65, meaning protection against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets under defined test conditions — it is not designed for submersion. All port covers must be fully closed to maintain the rating.
10. What certifications does the W14US carry?
IP65, CE, MIL-STD-810H (1.22m drop test, per GJB 150.18A-2009 and GJB 150.1A-2009), ISO quality management system certification, and RoHS.
