The MT6771 runs four Cortex-A73 and four Cortex-A53 cores, all at up to 2.0GHz — a 2019-era platform, and for replacement projects that's the point. It's stable, field-proven, and its board support package has been through years of industrial debugging. It handles data entry, warehouse apps, serial communication and scan middleware without drama. What it won't give you is headroom: Bluetooth 4.2 rather than 5.x, and no PD fast charging. Size your software to the platform, not the other way round.

1. Who is the A10STX-MT6771 for?
Existing Android 10 deployments that also need battery swaps. If your software is certified on this platform and your crews outlast a single charge, this model replaces units without re-validating your software stack or changing how shifts run. New projects without that legacy constraint should start with the MT6877 or MT8781 versions.
2. What display and touch options are available?
A 1,000-nit panel is available as a customization for outdoor sites. Glove touch with medical rubber gloves is standard; wet-hand touch is a factory option, so say so when ordering if your crews work in the rain.
3. How does the battery system work?
The 15,400mAh main battery is removable, spares are supported, and a charging dock is available so spare packs charge while the tablet keeps working. That's the whole point of the X-series body: the tablet never has to sit in a charger mid-shift.
4. Which ports come standard?
A native RS232 on DB9 (not a USB adapter), 100M RJ45 Ethernet, Micro HDMI, USB 2.0 Type-C with OTG, USB 2.0 Type-A, 3.5mm audio, Micro SIM and TF up to 256GB. Two honest limits: the Ethernet is 100M, not Gigabit, and RS485 is not offered on this model — if your equipment talks RS485, tell us before ordering and we'll look at options.
5. How is it different from the A10ST-MT6771?
Same MT6771 platform, same Android 10, same port set. This model's 15,400mAh battery is removable; the A10ST-MT6771's 10,000mAh is sealed in — which is also why this model is IP67 and that one is IP68. Choose by which matters more on your site: mid-shift swaps or water protection.
6. What are this platform's limits?
Bluetooth is 4.2 BLE rather than 5.x, and the Type-C port has no PD fast charging. Neither matters much in a docked or vehicle installation; both matter if the tablet lives in someone's hands all day.
