The A80STX-5G runs MediaTek's MT6877 — two Cortex-A78 cores at 2.4GHz and six Cortex-A55 at 2.0GHz — with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage as standard (256GB optional). It's the same platform as our 10.1-inch 5G models, sized down for one-handed field work: inspection, scanning, GIS collection and RTK positioning all run comfortably. This isn't a chipset for CAD or video editing, and at 8 inches you wouldn't want it to be.

1. What is the A80STX-5G for?

2. What platform does it run on?

3. What display and touch options are available?
1280×800 or 1920×1200, 700 nits standard. Medical rubber-glove touch is included; wet-hand touch is a factory option — say so when ordering if your crews work in the rain.
4. How do charging and batteries work?
The 9,400mAh battery is removable and spares are supported with a charging dock. The tablet itself charges through the dedicated 5.3V/3A DC input or POGO contacts — the Type-C port is USB 2.0 data and OTG, with no PD. Plan your charging around the dock, not the cable.
5. Which barcode engine should I choose — N1 or N670?
Neither is standard; both are options. The N1 covers mainstream 1D/2D codes. The N670 adds a higher-resolution sensor, cross-laser aiming and OCR-A/OCR-B support — worth it for dense, damaged or small codes. Tell us your symbologies and scan distance and we'll recommend one.
6. What can this model NOT do?
A few things buyers sometimes assume: no fingerprint module (for that, see the A80ST-5G); no 15m UHF build — UHF tops out at shorter ranges on this model, ask us for the current options; no DMR radio (software push-to-talk over 5G works, but it's not a dedicated DMR handset — if you need real DMR, the A10ST-5G offers it); no RS232, no USB 3.0, no PD charging, no Type-C video out. We'd rather you know before you order than after.
7. How is it different from the A80ST-5G?
Same MT6877 5G platform, same 8-inch class. This model's 9,400mAh battery is removable and the rating is IP67; the A80ST-5G seals in a 10,000mAh pack and reaches IP68. Battery swaps or water protection — that one question usually decides it.
