Frequently Asked Questions About the A10ST-5G Rugged Tablet
1. How is the A10ST-5G different from the 4G A10ST?
Two things: the chipset and the modem. This model runs MediaTek's MT6877 with integrated 5G; the 4G A10ST (Android 13) runs the MT8781. The rest is shared — 10.1-inch body, IP68 sealing, 10,000mAh battery, RS232 and RJ45 — so if 5G isn't on your requirements list, the 4G model does the same job for less money.
2. Does the A10ST-5G support Android 15 with GMS?
Android 12 is the standard load; Android 15 is a factory option. GMS certification, OTA updates and MDM enrolment depend on which firmware the unit ships with, so tell us your device-management platform when ordering and we'll confirm support in writing before production.
3. Can barcode, NFC and UHF RFID modules be installed together?
Yes in most builds. The real constraint is enclosure space and antenna placement, so list the modules you need when requesting a quote and we'll confirm the combination before production.
4. Can the A10ST-5G provide RTK positioning?
Yes, as a project option for centimetre-level positioning. Note that the hardware is only half of RTK — you also need a correction-service subscription on your side.
5. Is the 10,000mAh battery removable?
No. It's a built-in 3.8V 10,000mAh pack, sealed for IP68. If your shifts need swappable batteries, look at the A10STX-5G instead: same MT6877 5G platform, 15,400mAh removable pack, rated IP67.
6. Is every optional configuration covered by the IP68 report?
Not necessarily. Barcode, RFID, fingerprint, DMR, RTK or customized interface modules may alter the enclosure. If the certification matters for your project, ask us for the test report covering your exact build.
