Agricultural Rugged Tablets for Farming and Precision Agriculture

Farm work is hard on electronics. Dust, rain, mud, vibration, direct sun and long hours away from power kill consumer tablets fast — that is the problem our agricultural range is built for. We ship Windows and Android rugged tablets with IP65-IP68 protection, sunlight-readable displays, GPS/GNSS positioning, optional 4G/5G and industrial interfaces. Tractor terminals, precision farming, crop monitoring, irrigation management, livestock work and field data collection — that is where they earn their keep.

Why Agriculture Needs Rugged Tablets

Model ScreenKey Fit for Agriculture
A10ST10.1 InchField mapping and precision work; optional RTK; 100M Ethernet + DB9 RS232 for controllers
W10Y10.i InchMachinery diagnostics and farm ERP; Gigabit RJ45 + RS232

Modern farms run on digital information — GPS maps, machinery data, crop records, irrigation schedules, work orders. But the office is a field, and the field is hostile: dust and soil, rain, direct sunlight, mud, vibration from vehicle mounting, glove handling, and no charger for hours. A rugged tablet is simply a tablet that survives that list — and surviving that list is what we build.
Agricultural Rugged Tablets for Farming and Precision Agriculture

Sunlight Readable Tablets for Outdoor Farming

Outdoor visibility is one of the first things we spec. A10ST and W10Y ship with 700-nit panels as standard; A109TB adds a 1000-nit configurable option for open-field tractor cabs. Brightness is not the whole answer, though — anti-glare treatment, glove operation and wet-hand touch decide whether the screen stays usable in rain and dust. Tell us where the tablet sits, open cab or enclosed, and we spec the panel accordingly.

GPS and GNSS Rugged Tablets for Precision Agriculture

All four models in the table above support GPS, BeiDou, Galileo and GLONASS — check the constellation list on each datasheet if your fleet mixes models.

Positioning earns its place in four daily jobs: — Field Mapping / Machinery Tracking / Route Guidance / Precision Farming

A10ST   10.1 Inch    Field mapping and precision work; optional RTK; 100M Ethernet + DB9 RS232 for controllers

W10Y   10.1 Inch   Machinery diagnostics and farm ERP; Gigabit RJ45 + RS232

A109TB   10.95 Inch   Long-shift field work; 20,000mAh battery; 1000-nit display option

A80ST   8 Inch   One-hand inspection rounds; optional RTK and UHF RFID

Field Mapping

Farm workers can record field boundaries, inspection locations and crop conditions directly in GIS or agricultural management applications.

Machinery Tracking

Tablets installed inside tractors or agricultural machinery can provide location information for fleet and equipment management.

Route Guidance

Operators can use positioning data when moving between fields, inspection points or agricultural facilities.

Precision Farming

Agricultural software can combine positioning information with seeding, spraying, fertilization and crop-management data.

RTK Rugged Tablets for High-Precision Agriculture

Some jobs need more accuracy than standard GPS. We configure RTK on some platforms: A80ST offers optional centimeter-level RTK, and A10ST carries centimeter-class RTK options for applicable projects. Precision planting, agricultural surveying, field boundary mapping, irrigation layout, soil sampling — that is the RTK tier. One honest caveat: final accuracy depends on the GNSS receiver, the correction service, the antenna and the local environment, so we test the full chain before you commit.

Rugged Tablets for Tractors and Agricultural Machinery

Agricultural rugged tablets can be installed inside tractors, harvesters, sprayers and other machinery as mobile or vehicle-mounted terminals.

A tablet installed in agricultural equipment may provide access to:

  • GPS navigation
  • Machine status
  • Work instructions
  • Farm management software
  • Field maps
  • Equipment manuals
  • Camera feeds
  • Maintenance records
  • Fleet management systems

W10Y and A10ST provide POGO expansion pins for mount and dock ecosystems; vehicle chargers and docks are quoted per project. The same device works the cab during the day and the office at night.

Resistant to Dust, Water and Mud

Agricultural devices work in soil, dust, water and organic material. We rate models at IP65, IP67 and IP68 — pick the rating against your real exposure, not the worst day you can imagine. On the mechanical side, some models are tested to MIL-STD-810H including approximately 1.22-meter drop resistance, with reinforced housings and sealed construction. This matters most on large farms where a dead consumer tablet means operational downtime, not an inconvenience.

Long Battery Life for Field Work

Agricultural workers spend entire days away from power. A10ST and A80ST use 10,000mAh batteries rated at approximately 10 hours or more under specified test conditions; A109TB doubles that with a 20,000mAh pack rated at 16–18 hours — the longest runtime in the current range. For vehicle-mounted work, our charging docks and vehicle chargers keep power up through the shift.

4G and 5G Connectivity for Remote Farms

Agricultural work often takes place far from office networks.

4G LTE is available across the agricultural range; the A10ST-5G variant adds 5G SA/NSA for projects that need higher uplink bandwidth (cloud sync, video support), allowing field workers to communicate with cloud platforms, farm management systems and remote teams where cellular coverage is available.

Mobile connectivity can support:

  • Cloud data synchronization
  • Remote technical support
  • Farm management software
  • Live work orders
  • Equipment monitoring
  • Video communication
  • Field data upload
  • Fleet management

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth provide additional connectivity when the device returns to farm buildings or connects to nearby equipment.

Ethernet and RS232 for Agricultural Equipment

Modern farms may operate machinery from different generations.

Newer equipment may use Ethernet or wireless communication, while older controllers and instruments may still rely on serial interfaces.

Selected CENAVA rugged tablets include RJ45 Ethernet and RS232 interfaces. For example, W10Y integrates Gigabit RJ45 and RS232, while A10ST combines 100M Ethernet and DB9 RS232.

These interfaces can help technicians connect rugged tablets with compatible:

  • Agricultural machinery
  • Sensors
  • Controllers
  • Measurement equipment
  • Local networks
  • Diagnostic equipment
  • Monitoring systems

Compatibility depends on the equipment protocol and software used.

Glove and Wet-Hand Touch

Farm workers frequently wear gloves and may need to operate tablets in rain or humid conditions.

Selected CENAVA models provide glove-touch displays, while wet-hand touch is available on certain configurations.

This helps operators continue using agricultural software without repeatedly removing protective gloves.

Applications may include:

  • Equipment inspection
  • Crop recording
  • Field photography
  • Barcode scanning
  • GPS navigation
  • Livestock identification
  • Maintenance reporting

Agricultural Data Collection

Rugged tablets can act as mobile data-collection terminals across the farm.

We pack optional 1D/2D barcode, NFC, HF/UHF RFID, fingerprint and ID-card modules — plus GPS/RTK — into one tablet, so it covers most farm data collection.

How that plays out by job:
Crop Management. For walking crop inspection, the 8-inch A80ST keeps one-hand operation practical across a full round. Record planting dates, varieties, pest and disease observations, photos and GPS at the plant — not back at the office from paper notes.
Livestock Management. Pair the A80ST or A10ST with the UHF RFID option to read ear tags at arm's length instead of restraining the animal. Feeding, veterinary and breeding records attach to the tag.
Irrigation Management. Pump and valve rounds often run a full day away from power — that is the A109TB's 20,000mAh use case. Pump inspection, valve status, water-use records and sensor data all sync over 4G/5G or Wi-Fi.
Warehouse and Inventory. For warehouse scanning, configure the A10ST with the 1D/2D barcode module rather than relying on camera scanning. Seed, fertilizer, spare parts and packed goods track the same way — and the same device works outdoors and inside.

Windows Agricultural Rugged Tablets

Windows when the farm depends on PC software: machinery diagnostics, farm ERP, desktop mapping. Our Windows models combine Windows 11 with GPS/GNSS, optional cellular and RJ45/RS232 — for machinery maintenance, a Windows tablet can replace the laptop in the cab. Android for mobile-first work… Crop inspection, livestock and logistics crews usually land on Android; diagnostics and ERP land on Windows.
An 8-inch tablet disappears into one hand during long inspection rounds. A 10-inch screen earns its weight when maps and machine data stay up all day. For continuous vehicle use, bigger reads better — we usually mount 10-inch in cabs.

How to Choose an Agricultural Rugged Tablet

Consider the following requirements before selecting a device.

1. Outdoor visibility — direct-sun work needs a high-brightness screen; say whether the cab is open or enclosed.

2. IP rating — match the protection to your real water and dust exposure.

3. Positioning — standard GPS/GNSS covers navigation and tracking; precision farming and surveying need RTK.

4. Runtime — 8, 10, 12 or more hours away from charging? A109TB's 20,000mAh covers the longest rounds.

5. Connectivity — 4G or 5G if workers need cloud access across large or remote farms.

6. Mounting and interfaces — vehicle mount, dock, charger, and the RJ45/RS232/barcode/RFID your equipment and labels need.

7. Operating system — Windows for PC-based agricultural software, Android for mobile applications and custom field systems.
